Hi this is Malachi thanks for joining again.

This is going to be part two of our mini-series on evangelism and walking with the fire of the Holy Ghost.

Walking Renewed With Fire is what we are going to get into and we are going to talk a little bit on who the Holy Spirit is,what the purpose of the holy spirit is, the minister’s life and exactly how to be used by the Holy Spirit.

In the last post, we talked about renewing our mind daily to become an acceptable use case, an acceptable vessel for the Holy Spirit to be used through you.

Now this one is about walking renewed with that fire.

We’re going to go over to luke 3:16.

“John answered, saying unto them all, I indeed baptize you with water; but one mightier than I cometh, the latchet of whose shoes I am not worthy to unloose: he shall baptize you with the Holy Ghost and with fire.”

We see there are three baptisms going on here in this in this verse right?

There is water baptism, Holy Spirit baptism and fire baptism.

What is this Holy Spirit baptism? Well, let’s take a look at Acts 1:8. It says

“Acts 1:8 KJV

But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth.”

Jesus is explaining “heyy when the holy spirit comes upon you, you’re going to have power, you’re going to be my witnesses, you’re going to tell about me everywhere in jerusalem, throughout judea and samaria, and to the ends of the earth.

Let us go over to  2 timothy 1:6-11 and we’re going to touch a little bit more on exactly what this power means.

2 Timothy 1:6-7 KJV

“Wherefore I put thee in remembrance that thou stir up the gift of God, which is in thee by the putting on of my hands.

[7] For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.”

This is talking very plainly. The holy spirit is a spirit of power and of love and of discipline.

So never be ashamed. Never be ashamed to tell others about our Lord again.

Are we all called to evangelize?

Yes we’re all called to do the work of an evangelist but not everybody may sit in the office as a full-time job as evangelist.

2 Timothy 1:8-9 ;

Be not thou therefore ashamed of the testimony of our Lord, nor of me his prisoner: but be thou partaker of the afflictions of the gospel according to the power of God;

[9] Who hath saved us, and called us with an holy calling, not according to our works, but according to his own purpose and grace, which was given us in Christ Jesus before the world began,

In last article, we talked about the importance of living a holy life, living a sanctified life on a day-to-day basis, to renew our mind, to walk according to the law of Lord and to live righteously by the power and unction of the Holy Ghost.

And that only in the life of Christ, the sacrifice that was paid on the cross and the resurrection power can give us that.

The bible says I long to know the power of the resurrection.

So that power that raised Jesus from the dead now lives in you and has anointed you to walk and to do the things that Jesus did; To witness, to heal the sick, to raise the dead.

To do the the miracles that Jesus has done as replicated in the bible, so now we can show the unbelievers that our God is the right God.

We’re going to talk about that in the next post, i just wanted to touch on that a little bit.

2 Timothy 1:8-9 ;

“Be not thou therefore ashamed of the testimony of our Lord, nor of me his prisoner: but be thou partaker of the afflictions of the gospel according to the power of God;

[9] Who hath saved us, and called us with an holy calling, not according to our works, but according to his own purpose and grace, which was given us in Christ Jesus before the world began.”

It is really interesting to see the apostle paul specifically telling you what his callings are.

He says in verse 11, “God chose me to be a preacher and an apostle and a teacher of this good news”

It’s very important to understand that, yes you can know the anointings that God has given you.

There is one anointing but you can know the giftings I should say.

You can understand the gifts that God has given you in order to be used.

You can understand your call but you can only understand that as you spend time with the Lord.

As he shows you things, as he gives you visions and dreams and then it’ll be confirmed by the Lord through whatever means.

Whatever that situation may mean, God will continue to confirm that calling on your life.

Let’s go to Acts 2:14. We are going to start there.

Acts 2:14 ;

“But Peter, standing up with the eleven, lifted up his voice, and said unto them, Ye men of Judaea, and all ye that dwell at Jerusalem, be this known unto you, and hearken to my words:

This is just right after the Holy Spirit has fallen. The anointing of the Holy Spirit came on them actually.

Let’s just go to verse 1.

Acts 2:1-7;

“And when the day of Pentecost was fully come, they were all with one accord in one place.

[2] And suddenly there came a sound from heaven as of a rushing mighty wind, and it filled all the house where they were sitting.

[3] And there appeared unto them cloven tongues like as of fire, and it sat upon each of them.

[4] And they were all filled with the Holy Ghost, and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance.

[5] And there were dwelling at Jerusalem Jews, devout men, out of every nation under heaven.

[6] Now when this was noised abroad, the multitude came together, and were confounded, because that every man heard them speak in his own language.

[7] And they were all amazed and marvelled, saying one to another, Behold, are not all these which speak Galilaeans?”

Essentially the Holy Spirit comes, lands on everybody like tongues of fire.

They started prophesying and speaking in tongues and all of a sudden, all these believers can now understand them and they all have different languages in different dialect.

That is  a sign and wonder for the power of the Holy Ghost say “listen, I am the true God, this is who I am. This is what i do, I am going to show it to you”

With open hearts, hearts that are sincere and, humble, God will reveal himself to you.

So now let’s go over to verse 14.

“But Peter, standing up with the eleven, lifted up his voice, and said unto them, Ye men of Judaea, and all ye that dwell at Jerusalem, be this known unto you, and hearken to my words:

[15] For these are not drunken, as ye suppose, seeing it is but the third hour of the day.”

This is assuming, people thought they were drunk. The power of God came on them so strongly that thought they were drunk.

Acts 2:15-2 ;

“For these are not drunken, as ye suppose, seeing it is but the third hour of the day. [16] But this is that which was spoken by the prophet Joel;

[17] And it shall come to pass in the last days, saith God, I will pour out of my Spirit upon all flesh: and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, and your young men shall see visions, and your old men shall dream dreams:

[18] And on my servants and on my handmaidens I will pour out in those days of my Spirit; and they shall prophesy:

[19] And I will shew wonders in heaven above, and signs in the earth beneath; blood, and fire, and vapour of smoke:

[20] The sun shall be turned into darkness, and the moon into blood, before that great and notable day of the Lord come:

[21] And it shall come to pass, that whosoever shall call on the name of the Lord shall be saved.”

It’s important to understand that the verse 21 is very very monumental.

“But everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be save”

There is no other name under heaven given to men. By which, we must be saved by the name of Jesus.

As we go and as we evangelize and as we want to operate and move in the gifts and the anointing and the calling of the Holy Spirit, we must understand that everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved and that is why we preach and we teach.

In mark 16:17, it says:

“And these signs shall follow them that believe; In my name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues;

[18] They shall take up serpents; and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them; they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover.”

These are signs that will follow those that go. It is important understand that you have to go.

As a minister, as a christian, as as a believer, as you, you are renewed consistently .

As you are renewed, as you’re walking renewed and faithfully, these signs will follow.

And as you preach and teach, as you say,

“Jesus is the Lord, He is the way, truth, and the bread of life”

When you do these things and you lift up the name of Jesus, then he wull draw men to himself and he will confirm your doing and your sincerity with signs and wonders and miracles.

As Mark 16 says, “You will lay hands on the sick and they will be healed.”

This is to show power and authority in who he is.

Acts 2:22-24;

“Ye men of Israel, hear these words; Jesus of Nazareth, a man approved of God among you by miracles and wonders and signs, which God did by him in the midst of you, as ye yourselves also know:

[23] Him, being delivered by the determinate counsel and foreknowledge of God, ye have taken, and by wicked hands have crucified and slain:

[24] Whom God hath raised up, having loosed the pains of death: because it was not possible that he should be holden of it.

If Jesus himself says you will do these signs and many other things and then here clearly in verse 22, it says;

“God publicly endorsed Jesus by doing powerful miracles wonders and signs through him”

Then that means he can use you to do powerful miracles, wonders and signs before people because you preach Jesus and that’s the purpose of the Holy Spirit.

The purpose of the Holy Spirit is to show our “God is the right God, he’s the awesome God, he’s the true God and we going to prove it right now.”

Those individuals that don’t want the Lord, well they don’t have to have him, okay?

You will often see a lot of times where a believer says “well, if Jesus is going to give you the ability to do miracles and stuff” — there is some usually some type of like arrogance behind the statement — Then go into a hospital and raise everybody from the dead and cure everybody.

Let me tell you something, many times in the bible, when Paul mentioned writing to churches, he says “hey I left this person sick or hey i left them here.”

He didn’t heal them because it’s not his gift to use, it’s the Lord’s.

The Lord gives us the gift through the Holy Spirit and he guides us, so we can only do and go where the Holy Spirit allows us to go as our faith is determined and increased.

How does our faith increase?

Faith comes by hearing and hearing by the word of God. As you spend time in the bible, as you spend time listening and meditating on the things of the lord, prayer time, sincerity with the lord and honoring him and reverencing him.

Reverencing those that are sent to teach you and to help you and reverencing your pastors and those that are spiritual authorities over you, under you, and the ones next to you.

As you give them honor and as you reverence all these situations then you  grow.

You start growing and learning and you turn into a mature believer over time. It doesn’t happen instantly, it is a process.

Let us go to actts 3. It is going to give us a good example.

We have Peter saying “this is Jesus, he did all these signs and miracles and all these wonderful things.”

Jesus himself said “these signs you will do and even more”

Now that is something we can understand. That is faith we can hold on to, to say “Lord, your word says.”

It’s his word. If it’s his word and he’s not a liar then it is going to come to pass.

That takes the gift of faith. That takes the anointing of faith to say yes lord and that’s what God is going to give you today as you continue to seek him and learn of who he is.

We are going see a normal person, a normal man that is set on fire by the Holy Spirit and he is going to now go tell the world, preach and evangelize.

He is going to go show somebody and tell somebody who the Lord is and as mark 16 says “these signs will follow them, they will lay hands on the sick and they will be healed.”

This is important, so Acts 3:1;

“Now Peter and John went up together into the temple at the hour of prayer, being the ninth hour.”

It is interesting to see where were they were going. They were going to prayer, and spend time with the lord.

They were seeking after God. They were saying “Lord, wherever you are, I want to be. I want to give you honor.”

They were in the plan and in the will of God for their life.

You have to ask yourself, what is the plan and what is the will of God for my life?

As you continue to spend time in the word and you continue to pray and seek his counsel, he will give you those directions.

Acts 3:1-4 KJV

“Now Peter and John went up together into the temple at the hour of prayer, being the ninth hour .

[2] And a certain man lame from his mother’s womb was carried, whom they laid daily at the gate of the temple which is called Beautiful, to ask alms of them that entered into the temple;

[3] Who seeing Peter and John about to go into the temple asked an alms.

[4] And Peter, fastening his eyes upon him with John, said, Look on us.”

They were doing the will of God. They were just going to go pray and spend time in thein the presence of God. They were going to go just patiently seek after the Lord.

Psalm 46:10 says “Be still and know that i am God.”

They are going to go into the presence of God and coincidentally, they are met with somebody on their divine path.

What is your divine path? As we spend time with God, we will learn.

So as they were walking, they meet this man that couldn’t walk. He was lame from birth.

Now all of a sudden, this man is begging and peter says look at us. The man looked at them eagerly, expecting some money, he was expecting something.

This is important. When you receive healings, or when you flow in the gifts and miracles and signs and wonders or whatever it is, then you as the minister, preacher or evangelist, teacher or whatever you do, you are expecting to give what the Lord has given you.

On the flip side, those that are going to be receiving must also expect from the Lord.

When you want to receive something from the Lord, you must expect it.

This man didn’t even know who the Lord was however, he’s expecting. He was expecting some money.

Verse 6;

“Then Peter said, Silver and gold have I none; but such as I have give I thee: In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth rise up and walk.

[7] And he took him by the right hand, and lifted him up: and immediately his feet and ankle bones received strength.

[8] And he leaping up stood, and walked, and entered with them into the temple, walking, and leaping, and praising God.”

Before we continue, I want to clarify a few things and it is very important.

They were on the path that God has planned for them. They were going to honor the Lord in prayer.

Out of nowhere, they meet this man that can’t walk and he was expecting something from them.

Peter and John just know what Jesus did, they don’t have any money. He said “Hey, If Jesus could do it and he says i can do it, then i can do it.”

He then says “get up and walk.”

It is important understand to know that he reached his hand out and he lifted him up. He met his faith with action.

This is very important, understand you have to meet your faith with action, no matter what you do. Whether it is for your your ministry, your life, your marriage, your job or your business.

You have to meet that faith that God has given you with action. If you don’t meet it with action, it becomes ordinary faith and faith without works is dead.

You can’t get anything. Imagine if Peter and John just said “stand up and walk,” the guy could have stood up and walked because he was waiting expectantly and eagerly.

He could have but instead they helped him. They said get up and walk, grabbed his hand and pulled him up.

They met that individual who may have not had a complete belief in what God was going to do but by the spirit of God, they helped him realize that God will do it.

What is the purpose of walking in this power? We’ll see and read from verse 8.

Acts 3:8-11;

And he leaping up stood, and walked, and entered with them into the temple, walking, and leaping, and praising God.

[9] And all the people saw him walking and praising God:

[10] And they knew that it was he which sat for alms at the Beautiful gate of the temple: and they were filled with wonder and amazement at that which had happened unto him.

[11] And as the lame man which was healed held Peter and John, all the people ran together unto them in the porch that is called Solomon’s, greatly wondering.”

The ministry of the Holy Spirit is to show the power and the effectiveness of who God is.

When a believer walks in the powers that God has given him through the Holy Spirit, It is always to show of God’s goodness and love for his people so we can then say;

“Listen, this is our God, he is the true God, this is who he is and why he is the only one.”

Now you must receive him and that is how we grow in who God is.

It is always to show the people the love, the grace and the mercy that God has, that is new for us every day.

As you go and preach, teach, evangelize and as you are led, remember the holy ghost power is to show who Jesus is in his authority.

Lastly, we will look at Romans 15 and we’re going to talk verse 14 in a bit.

Romans 15:14-16 ;

“And I myself also am persuaded of you, my brethren, that ye also are full of goodness, filled with all knowledge, able also to admonish one another.

[15] Nevertheless, brethren, I have written the more boldly unto you in some sort, as putting you in mind, because of the grace that is given to me of God,

[16] That I should be the minister of Jesus Christ to the Gentiles, ministering the gospel of God, that the offering up of the Gentiles might be acceptable, being sanctified by the Holy Ghost.”

What makes us holy, the Holy Spirit.

Paul was saying “Listen, this is my work. My work is to show you and to encourage you that you are walking according to what God has had for you and i’m going to do such things by the power of the Holy Spirit.”

Romans 15:17-18 ;

“I have therefore whereof I may glory through Jesus Christ in those things which pertain to God.

[18] For I will not dare to speak of any of those things which Christ hath not wrought by me, to make the Gentiles obedient, by word and deed,”

Paul was bringing the message to the gentiles by the way he worked among them

Romans 15:19 ;

“Through mighty signs and wonders, by the power of the Spirit of God; so that from Jerusalem, and round about unto Illyricum, I have fully preached the gospel of Christ.”

There is a few things that happen here and this is when you talk about the gifts of the Holy Spirit and miracles and signs and wonders.

Is this for every believer?

Yes, the the gifts of the Holy Spirit is for every believer.

However, the believer has to receive them.

Is everybody gifted? No. Not everybody accepts the gifts that they want.

You have to say “Lord, these are your gifts,” and you have to understand what God says accept them.

But according to the bible in verse 19,

“They were convinced by the power……”

The people were convinced by the power of God’s spirit.

And then, Paul says if they’re convinced by the power of God’s spirit, with all these miraculous signs, all these things that are happening; the lame walking, the dead raising, and the blind seeing and all these miraculous signs, okay?

Paul says they were convinced by that in this way;

“Through mighty signs and wonders, by the power of the Spirit of God; so that from Jerusalem, and round about unto Illyricum, I have fully preached the gospel of Christ.”

I venture to say that if you as a believer is not allowing the lord to leverage your life and to move you in the miraculous, to show the unbelievers these signs.

Then according to what Paul said, You as a believer is not presenting the good news fully right.

It is important to receive that right with grace and understand that the Lord have these for you.

You must desire spiritual gifts, you must desire to walk accordingly to how he walked, you must live renewed daily, you must seek him.

When you’re doing these things just like John and Peter and you’re going where he says you should go, the Lord will anoint you.

Then he will increase you because you’re where you need to be.

In thhe next series, we will be going through Allowing the spirit of God to  minister through you as the believer.

I hope you got something from this. Thank you so much. Bye.
