Hello, we’re going to continue through our first peterexposition.

As you can see, it’s really more designed to be like Bible readingand we are going to just expound and go through different notes.

Let’s pick it up first peter chapter two. let’s go down to verse seven.

1 Peter 2:7-8 :

“Unto you therefore which believe he is precious: but unto them which be disobedient, the stone which the builders disallowed, the same is made the head of the corner, [8] And a stone of stumbling, and a rock of offence, even to them which stumble at the word, being disobedient: whereunto also they were appointed.”

I have a note here, and  this is a very interesting concept. It is about Ephesians 1 verse 3.

Ephesians 1:3-8 ;

“Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who hath blessed us with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places in Christ:

[4] According as he hath chosen us in him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before him in love:

[5] Having predestinated us unto the adoption of children by Jesus Christ to himself, according to the good pleasure of his will,

[6] To the praise of the glory of his grace, wherein he hath made us accepted in the beloved.

[7] In whom we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of his grace; [8] Wherein he hath abounded toward us in all wisdom and prudence;

God has predestined you and me for his plan and purpose.

I have encountered individuals where they  know too much of the Bible in a materialistic way, that it’s just not good for them.

They will say “God hasn’t predestined them to be called, so they are not going to serve him.”

Don’t go and learn the Bible from a non-believer who doesn’t have the Holy spirit.

You need to learn the Bible and understand the word of God from somebody who is walking with God, who is submitted to a pastor in their local church, who is serving the local church and somebody that really loves the Lord.

You need to learn the Bible from that type of people. Don’t go and try to learn the Bible from other people.

I know individuals who will try to disprove the Bible by listening to atheists explain the Bible.

Well yeah, If you’re an atheist, you don’t know the Bible, it is discerned and the Holy spirit is the one that gives revelation.

So just understand that.

Be cautious of that whenever you’re preaching and or talking about the Bible and the word.

Don’t get caught up in foolish arguments, believe me, it saves a lot of heart ache.

1 Peter 2:8-10 ;

And a stone of stumbling, and a rock of offence, even to them which stumble at the word, being disobedient: whereunto also they were appointed.

[9] But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should shew forth the praises of him who hath called you out of darkness into his marvellous light:

[10] Which in time past were not a people, but are now the people of God: which had not obtained mercy, but now have obtained mercy.

This very important to understand.

You have received mercy and now that you have it, understand that it is yours.

The mercy is given to you.

God’s gift and his call are irrevocable. He doesn’t give you the gifts, the call, the love and then just take it back.

God is a good God, he loves us, he wants us to have the best. God is love.

I know you have read what we did on on the book of John.

2 Corinthians 5:21;

“For he hath made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him.”

2 Corinthians 6:1 ;

We then, as workers together with him , beseech you also that ye receive not the grace of God in vain.

Understand that Jesus had no sin, he became sin for us.

Don’t receive the grace in vain, believe, understand and receive by faith.

it’s accounted to us by faith as righteousness.

So understanding that by faith, even though you don’t see it and you don’t understand it.

Receive it by faith and God will open your eyes. He will show you and help youunderstand and God will show up that way, you’ll know without a shadow of a doubt.

Whatever it may be, understand it’s done in faith because you’re walking according to what the Lord has for you.

1 Peter 2:12;

“Having your conversation honest among the Gentiles: that, whereas they speak against you as evildoers, they may by your good works, which they shall behold, glorify God in the day of visitation.”

Imagine that you’re walking honorably, with integrity to the best of your ability and by the grace of God leading you, guiding you and keeping your foot from evil, then all of a sudden, the return of the Lord comes and even the unbelievers that didn’t receive the Lord they can say, “wow, this individual walked according to God.”

And it was by his grace that enabled them to do it. That is going to be a good feeling.

1 Peter 2:13-17 KJV

“Submit yourselves to every ordinance of man for the Lord’s sake: whether it be to the king, as supreme;

[14] Or unto governors, as unto them that are sent by him for the punishment of evildoers, and for the praise of them that do well. [15] For so is the will of God, that with well doing ye may put to silence the ignorance of foolish men:

[16] As free, and not using your liberty for a cloke of maliciousness, but as the servants of God.

[17] Honour all men . Love the brotherhood. Fear God. Honour the king.

I have said it before and i will say it again,

“the kingdom of God is oftentimes flipped backwards than what we understand.

The kingdom of God is flipped, the anointing is in the flipping.

The anointing is in the serving, it is in the humility and in the the understanding that God you’ve given you.

As you you flip your life into the opposite and gear on the side of humility, God will lift you up in due time.

It is very important to understand in order to grow in the Lord.

1 Peter 2:18-23 KJV

“Servants, be subject to your masters with all fear; not only to the good and gentle, but also to the froward.

[19] For this is thankworthy, if a man for conscience toward God endure grief, suffering wrongfully.

[20] For what glory is it , if, when ye be buffeted for your faults, ye shall take it patiently? but if, when ye do well, and suffer for it , ye take it patiently, this is acceptable with God.

[21] For even hereunto were ye called: because Christ also suffered for us, leaving us an example, that ye should follow his steps:

[22] Who did no sin, neither was guile found in his mouth:

[23] Who, when he was reviled, reviled not again; when he suffered, he threatened not; but committed himself to him that judgeth righteously:”

That is God, the father. Jesus was submitting himself to God.

When Jesus suffered, he did not threaten but continued entrusting himself to him who judged justly.

1 Peter 2:24 KJV

“Who his own self bare our sins in his own body on the tree, that we, being dead to sins, should live unto righteousness: by whose stripes ye were healed.”

This is another faith statement.

Understanding the word of God is true, alive and active.

“By his wounds, you have been healed.”

Do you have sickness? Do you have disease?

Do you know somebody who does have sickness or disease and you want to bring the healing power of christ to them?

Tell them to trust on God and pray for them.

By his wounds we have been healed. Entirely healed and not partially healed.

Believe and pray. When you pray, believe in surety not doubting and being tossed back and forth but believe one hundred percent surely.

Understanding God is good. God is for us and wants us healed.

We must live in freedom, we must not use it to continue to sin but we must say;

“Yes Lord, I choose to walk according to your ways”.

I will continue after him because as we seek after him, he blesses us as we submit our lives as Romans 12 says, we we submit our lives as a holy sacrifice, then we will understand his perfect and pleasing will.

That is how we can hear the voice of God, that is how we can accomplish our work on earth.

That’s is how we can be blessed beyond measure, even ephesians 3 : 20 says:

“Now to him who is able to bless us even beyond measure, beyond what we can ask or imagine.

That is the God that you and I serve. He is the one that we have to tell people about because as we tell them, their chains will fall, their depression will go and their anxieties will leave.

Let’s pray.

Father i thank you lord for the reader. I thank you for the listener.

I ask that you bless and anoint them.

I ask holy spirit that you charge them and supercharge them.

Father, just light a fire in them to go with your power and anointing.

I thank you Lord for unexpected blessings coming their way.

I thank you Lord for new streams of income.

Father, i thank you Lord for anxiety that is lifted off them, and for depression, worry or fear that is removed and broken in Jesus name.

I thank you holy spirit that you’d whisper very loudly into their ear, that they understand your ways and that they would seek after you with all their heart in Jesus name.

Amen.
