Hello, I am Malachi.

Today we’re gonna go into something awesome today.

We’re gonna be reading right out of first chronicles 29 and it’s the account of king david speaking of his son, Solomon.

And exactly how Solomon was going to build the temple of the lord.

It’s really a story of perseverance.

It’s a story of humility, honoring and obeying what the lord has.

And that’s what we have to do, you know, as believers and as Christians and followers of the faith and being in the household of faith right?

We have to continually strive to serve God but how do we do that?

How do we how do we strive to serve god and understand that everything we do is not in vain.

The bible says consistently and continually to strive after God.

To seek God, knock and the door will be opened.

Seek first his kingdom (Matthew 6 vs 33) and his righteousness and all things will be added to you

I’m heading to first chronicles 29 and we’re going to start reading.

This is an example of King David, who was preaching and saying this of the assembly.

King David goes to say this in verse 1, “my son Solomon whom alone God has chosen is young and inexperienced and the work is great because the temple is not for man but for the Lord God ”

A lot of times, we may even we’re young, we’re inexperienced but there’s a lot of work to be done and with God all things are possible.

We have to understand even out of the book of timothy.

What did Paul tell Timothy?

He said “Don’t let people look down upon you because you’re young but rather be an example and and set a precedent to these individuals and godliness and holiness and righteousness unto god by living according to the spirit of god”

That’s how we set an example.

King David was saying the same thing, he said “my son, is inexperienced and young but we must build this temple because it’s not for man it’s for the lord”

When you work for the Lord, there’s an eternal reward that comes.

Verse 2, “now for the house of my God I have prepared with all my might god gold for things to be made of gold silver for things of silver bronze for things of bronze iron for iron wood for wood and onyx and stones and all precious jewels in abundance

[3] Moreover because I have set my affection on the house of my god I have given to the house of my god over and above all that I have prepared for his house my own treasure of gold and silver”

In verse four, he talks about the gold and how he is doing all this for the Lord and the temple.

Listen, this is where our reward is as believers.

This is what we have to do, this is how we persevere, everything else will come right; the businesses, the finances, the overflow, the promotions.

All these will come as we seek first promoting and benefiting the kingdom  with wisdom and with humility.

we’re gonna skip down to verse six.

“Then the leaders of the father’s houses and of all the tribes of israel and all the captains of the thousands and the hundreds, they all offered willingly”

David was an example.

He was saying “my son is going to set out to build this temple.

He’s young, he is inexperienced so I’m going ahead to show him.

I’m going to set an example for you and for him of what you must do to actually walk in accordance with the blessings”

In the beginning he began to do willful offerings. He’s giving down his first fruits, his best he’s giving them everything as a man, as a father and as a king.

He’s laying all this stuff down before the lord and people followed him. People out of design followed him.

In verse seven,

“And gave for the service of the house of God of gold five thousand talents and ten thousand drams, and of silver ten thousand talents, and of brass eighteen thousand talents, and one hundred thousand talents of iron.

[8] And they with whom precious stones were found gave them to the treasure of the house of the Lord , by the hand of Jehiel the Gershonite.

[9] Then the people rejoiced, for that they offered willingly, because with perfect heart they offered willingly to the Lord”

This is important. we have to continually and willingly offer what is our best right. It’s not always about finances, it’s about obedience, it’s about trusting in the lord and the word of God says obedience is better than sacrifice.

It’s not necessarily about how you can deplete yourself to show honor to God.

You’re called by the best and we’re up for the test.

So what do we do to persevere? How do we break through?

That’s where we need the the spirit of God.

When the holy spirit came on earth, Jesus was here. He lived a perfect and sinless life, he walked this way so that he could become the sacrifice for us.

Jesus by his death and resurrections made us white as snow. we were scarlet red and now, we’re white as snow.

So how do we accept that?

We have to understand by faith. it’s by faith through grace, not by works.

When we start thinking we can do something above and beyond to get to heaven or get this gift that jesus has willingly paid for, we get tripped up because we can’t.

We have to understand that it’s a free gift and David was explaining to the people: “because God is faithful I will give, because of my love I will give”

It’s like if you’re married. In a marriage, you don’t  try to go as far off on the side.

You honor and respect your wife or your husband so that way then you can grow with what you are given.

We’re going to go to verse 10 and we’re going to see david’s praise to God and this is very important.

“Wherefore David blessed the Lord before all the congregation: and David said, Blessed be thou, Lord God of Israel our father, for ever and ever.

[11] Thine, O Lord , is the greatness, and the power, and the glory, and the victory, and the majesty: for all that is in the heaven and in the earth is thine ; thine is the kingdom, O Lord , and thou art exalted as head above all.

[12] Both riches and honour come of thee, and thou reignest over all; and in thine hand is power and might; and in thine hand it is to make great, and to give strength unto all.”

Here, David was explaining that God has given him this entire kingdom. He has appointed him to preach and proclaim this gospel before the people

In verse 13.

“Now therefore, our God, we thank thee, and praise thy glorious name.

[14] But who am I, and what is my people, that we should be able to offer so willingly after this sort? for all things come of thee, and of thine own have we given thee.

[15] For we are strangers before thee, and sojourners, as were all our fathers: our days on the earth are as a shadow, and there is none abiding.”

In this verse, David was saying that the reason he and his people can do this is because he trusted and followed God.

He served God in humility and I’m going to give you some key principles and key truths of how you can serve God in humility, in honor and righteousness.

That way your life is blessed.

Your life is blessed with health.

You know about Deuteronomy 28 all the blessings mentioned there.

These blessings a are conditional blessings but they’re also perfect promises.

If you receive them by faith and you activate your works to then move towards that faith because faith without works is dead.

Prove your faith by doing your works. If God has given you a vision put it together.

Be faithful with the small and God will make you ruler over much.

In Deuteronomy 28,  it shall come to pass “if you diligently obey the voice of the lord your God”

How do you know the voice of the lord? You read the bible.

You study, You pray and get under a covering.

If you will diligently obey the voice of the lord your God, to carefully listen to his commandments of the lord your God, then he will set you above all the nations of the earth.

Once you come to Christ, the word says God has made us new creatures in Christ.

It is it’s by faith we’re saved, it’s not by what we can do. we can’t keep the commandments without the spirit of God and without accepting the free gift

From verse 2:

“And all these blessings shall come on thee, and overtake thee, if thou shalt hearken unto the voice of the Lord thy God.

[3] Blessed shalt thou be in the city, and blessed shalt thou be in the field.

[4] Blessed shall be the fruit of thy body, and the fruit of thy ground, and the fruit of thy cattle, the increase of thy kine, and the flocks of thy sheep.

[5] Blessed shall be thy basket and thy store.

[6] Blessed shalt thou be when thou comest in, and blessed shalt thou be when thou goest out.

[7] The Lord shall cause thine enemies that rise up against thee to be smitten before thy face: they shall come out against thee one way, and flee before thee seven ways.

[8] The Lord shall command the blessing upon thee in thy storehouses, and in all that thou settest thine hand unto; and he shall bless thee in the land which the Lord thy God giveth thee.

There are 14 verses of continual blessings of serving God, if you willingly lay down your life unto him.

Romans 12 talks about that’s our acceptable act of worship.

We must lay down our lives, we must transform our minds, we must renew our minds by the word of God continually.

Faith comes by hearing and hearing by the word of God, if only we can understand what the word says.

The bible says “my people lack for my people perish for the lack of knowledge”

If you don’t know what the bible says about a specific subject, if you don’t understand that God would wish you to be prosperous and blessed, that he anoints you and psalm 1 says that everything you do shall prosper.

If you don’t know that truth, you will not have the faith to activate that, which therefore means you will never have the works to see it come forth.

You have to continually plant, you have to continually sow in your faith.

You have to sow with obedience, you have to come under a covering so that somebody who has been walking with the lord can help you grow in the Lord.

when we go to first corinthians 13 vs 13,  “now these things remain faith hope and love and the greatest of these is love”

We must have faith, we must have hope, we must have love.

In hebrews, it talks about “now faith is the substance of things hoped for and the evidence of things not yet seen.”

Hebrews also speaks about “that in order to first come to God, we must first believe that he exists and that he rewards those who diligently seek him”

Do you believe that God rewards you because you diligently seek him?

Do you diligently seek him?

That’s something we have to ask ourselves.

Am I seeking god?

Am I knocking?

Am I tilling the ground?

Am I sowing?

Am I reaping?

Have I got a harvest?

If you haven’t got a harvest yet and you’ve been walking with the lord for a number of years well, what I would really suggest you to do is pray. I would tell you to pray.

Are you living in sin?

Do you have forgiveness?

Do you need to forgive somebody?

You have to do the basic principle truths that God has placed in your life.

His word says “my yoke is easy and my burden is light come on unto me”

God gives us grace, he gives grace to the humble and he opposes the proud.

We have to come to the lord in our secret place, we have to visit him in our closet right, we have to come before the Lord and say “Lord search in my heart, is there any wicked way in me then let it be known and remove it .”

We have to be willing to be willing.

That’s a very powerful prayer — lord I’m willing to be made willing.

First john 4 vs 18 “for there’s no fear and love because perfect love drives out fear. because fear has to do with punishment and the one who fears has not been made perfect in love”

we have to understand that God loves us.

The new covenant of the cross with jesus’s death, jesus resurrection, the promise of the holy spirit that lives on the inside of us, the baptism of the holy spirit, those are all promises and there’s no fear in love.

If we are so worried and so fearful about something that god’s gonna do like right now, god’s not judging the earth.

God has already judged the earth when Jesus came.

God will come back and he will judge. He will separate the wheat from the tares and he will separate the goats from the sheep but he’s not willingly right now judging the earth.

Thee natural disasters you see now, this stuff that’s happening in the earth right, that’s not the judgment of god.

God is not in the business of doing that because he’s already casted perfect judgment on Jesus and Jesus was found as the perfect sacrifice to then redeem us so as long as we accept that gift we can walk in the full blessings.

Philippians 2 vs 2 -12. We read it and talk a little bit about exactly how we should work out our salvation and what does that look like?

Philippians 2 vs 12:

Wherefore, my beloved, as ye have always obeyed, not as in my presence only, but now much more in my absence, work out your own salvation with fear and trembling.

[13] For it is God which worketh in you both to will and to do of his good pleasure.

[14] Do all things without murmurings and disputings:”

when was the last time you complained about work? when was the last time you disputed about something?

verse 15: “That ye may be blameless and harmless, the sons of God, without rebuke, in the midst of a crooked and perverse nation, among whom ye shine as lights in the world;

[16] Holding forth the word of life; that I may rejoice in the day of Christ, that I have not run in vain, neither laboured in vain.”

We must continually work out our salvation with with fear and trembling and reverence towards God

How do you do that? By laying our life down.

Philippians 1 vs 6, the bible says “we’re confident of this very thing that he who began the good work in us is faithful to complete it.”

Do you have faith in the lord? can you complete that vision that you had? that business idea?

That miracle that you are believing for, that healing that you’re believing for, if you have faith then believe it.

Don’t shift and shut and change.

We’ll go right to James and I’ll explain to you why it’s so important to trust in the lord and understand that you can’t doubt. You cannot ask god for one thing and then don’t backpedal.

The word says that anyone who comes after me, if he starts to backpedal or draw back, my spirit will have no pleasure in him.

We must not be like that where we we don’t have confidence ,trust and hope.

We have to have hope and faith. We have to continually manifest those in our lives.

James 1 vs 2 :my brothers counted all joy when you face various trials, knowing that the testing of your faith produces patience but let patience have its perfect work that you may be perfect and complete lacking nothing. If any of you lacks wisdom let him ask god who gives all, liberally and without reproach and it will be given but let him ask in faith.

This is  very important. If you’re going through a trial, ask god for wisdom on how to handle the trial.

Be patient remember what his word says in james chapter one.

“But when you ask, ask in faith.” — this is an instruction. without doubting on him.

He who doubts is like the wave of the seed, driven and tossed back and forth. That man should not receive anything because he’s double minded and unstable in all his ways.

Do not be double minded. make it your choice today to say:

Yes Lord, this is the vision you’ve given me.

Yes Lord, I willingly seek you.

Yes Lord I believe that you give and you bless those who are called by your name.

Yes Lord I believe that promotion comes from you.

Yes lord I believe that you are scarred and you were you were beaten for our transgressions and upon your back the stripes now make me whole.

The wholeness that we have to receive is by faith. We have to accept it by faith and the (your faith & unto your faith) have been seen many times in the bible.

Where is your faith today? your faith just has to be as small as a mustard seed.

You don’t necessarily need to have this gigantic faith. Increasing your faith is is by the word of God.

Hearing and reading the word of god will increase your faith and that’s how you increase your faith.

We have to understand that it’s not about what we can do, it’s about what god has done and being faithful with the little and trusting god to make us rulers over much and that’s the message for today and for you.

So have faith, be consistent, hold on to the word of god. Use the word of god as your sword, have the shield of faith that quenches all the fiery darts.

When the opposition comes, when the naysayers comes, when those voices and those enemies that come, anything that is contrary to the word of god is a lie from the devil and you must believe the word of god and your life, business and health will be in direct proportion to the amount of faith that you allow the lord to reveal to you.

So I encourage you today to ask the lord to reveal to you, just where you are and your faith walk and he will continue to show you.

Then you can help others become more faithful to the lord.

Thank you for reading.
