Hello, this is Malachi.
This is going to be the fourth part to our video series on evangelizing with the Holy Ghost and we are going to get into it.
Leading another to Christ is the simplicity of evangelism.
So, let us start this out in the book of 2 Timothy 4.
We are going to touch on a few things that is just the simplicity of:
I need to live according to the lord
I need to repent
I need to walk according to the holy spirit’s leading
And I need to be at the right place in the right time and i do all that by following what God has for me.
Now, how do I lead somebody to christ? Here is how do it.
2 Timothy 4:1-5 ;
“I charge thee therefore before God, and the Lord Jesus Christ, who shall judge the quick and the dead at his appearing and his kingdom;
[2] Preach the word; be instant in season, out of season; reprove, rebuke, exhort with all longsuffering and doctrine.
[3] For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears;
[4] And they shall turn away their ears from the truth, and shall be turned unto fables.
[5] But watch thou in all things, endure afflictions, do the work of an evangelist, make full proof of thy ministry.”
He is speaking the believers and he was writing to timothy and he’s saying;
“listen, I’m urging you to follow after what God has given you. Hold on to the anointing and the Spirit of God. Allow him to lead you and then you’re going to fully be effective.”
So understanding the fullness of that effect.
Let’s go to Romans 10. We are going to touch a little more on some of these principles.
Romans 10:5-8 ;
For Moses describeth the righteousness which is of the law, That the man which doeth those things shall live by them.
[6] But the righteousness which is of faith speaketh on this wise, Say not in thine heart, Who shall ascend into heaven? (that is, to bring Christ down from above 🙂
[7] Or, Who shall descend into the deep? (that is, to bring up Christ again from the dead.)
[8] But what saith it? The word is nigh thee, even in thy mouth, and in thy heart: that is, the word of faith, which we preach;
This is going to explain to us on how do we lead somebody to Christ?
This assuming we’re walking according to the word of the Lord, the law of the Lord that is written in our hearts through forgiveness, we’re forgiving others, we’re not living in sin, we’re receiving the revelation and the righteousness of our lives over what God has done on the cross and we are receiving that power in the Holy Spirit.
This is assuming all that.
Romans 10:9 ;
“That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.”
That is the simplicity of evangelism. To openly declare that Jesus is Lord and believe in our heart that God has raised him from the dead.
That is how we bring somebody into the kingdom of God and then you talk about getting into you baptisms and being anointed by the Holy Ghost.
I am talking very simple and very plain. The first thing we have to do and we have to say is;
“if you want to come to the kingdom of God, openly declare that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead.”
And then, the Bible tells you why.
Romans 10:10 ;
“For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.”
That is the foundational truth of evangelism. That is the first part and the kind of the seal that breaks everything open.
It is very simple.
You come across somebody and you feel the lord is telling you to witness to them. He wants you to his goodness. Then you go over to them and say “the Lord loves you. Is there anything I can pray with you about” and they reply back by saying “I’m sick or I’m not feeling well.”
Then you bless them in Jesus name that they will be healed.
You’re using the power of the Holy Spirit and the Lord is moving through. As you use that healing gift and you receive that anointing, what happens is now?
You can now offer; “hey, come to the kingdom of heaven and walk in this freedom, power, anointing, then be be a witness. In order to do that, you need to confess Jesus openly”
This is what you tell them to repeat after you;
“Lord Jesus, forgive me of my sins. I repent for everything have done wrong. Thank you for dying on the cross. I believe in you and I trust you.”
Now the salvation has come unto them because they are openly professing it.
Let’s keep reading.
Romans 10:11-13 ;
“For the scripture saith, Whosoever believeth on him shall not be ashamed.
[12] For there is no difference between the Jew and the Greek: for the same Lord over all is rich unto all that call upon him.
[13] For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.”
It for everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved. Not someone, it says everyone.
Romans 10:14-15 ;
“How then shall they call on him in whom they have not believed? and how shall they believe in him of whom they have not heard? and how shall they hear without a preacher?
[15] And how shall they preach, except they be sent? as it is written, How beautiful are the feet of them that preach the gospel of peace, and bring glad tidings of good things!”
This is your job, you are the one to tell them. You’re being sent today to go tell them to walk on the anointing, to walk in the power of the Holy Ghost, to lead people to christ, to get them saved for souls. Wise is a man who wins souls.
Romans 10:15-16 ;
“And how shall they preach, except they be sent? as it is written, How beautiful are the feet of them that preach the gospel of peace, and bring glad tidings of good things!
[16] But they have not all obeyed the gospel. For Esaias saith, Lord, who hath believed our report?”
This is important. Not everyone will receive the good news.
Romans 10:16-18 KJV
“….For Esaias saith, Lord, who hath believed our report?
[17] So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.
[18] But I say, Have they not heard? Yes verily, their sound went into all the earth, and their words unto the ends of the world.”
You go, you preach, you say “come to the Lord, confess with your mouth openly.”
That is how we bring people into the kingdom of God and the miraculous, signs and wonders will follow you as you go for the witnessing of who God is. It is very important understand that.
Also understanding that not everybody is going to receive the the giftings of salvation because they don’t want it. They don’t want to receive Jesus, that is their choice.
Only the Lord can open somebody’s heart.
So when you go and tell of the good news of who God is, what his son has done, who Jesus is, and the power and the anointing that can come over one’s life and that they would not lack, not be sick and they will walk in freedom.
All these things are what God wants for the believer especially those who tell and preach and show the goodness of God because they’re walking in their divine calling.
But understand not everybody may want that, and 2 Corinthians 2:14 is going to explain why.
2 Corinthians 2:14-17;
“Now thanks be unto God, which always causeth us to triumph in Christ, and maketh manifest the savour of his knowledge by us in every place.
[15] For we are unto God a sweet savour of Christ, in them that are saved, and in them that perish:
[16] To the one we are the savour of death unto death; and to the other the savour of life unto life. And who is sufficient for these things?
[17] For we are not as many, which corrupt the word of God: but as of sincerity, but as of God, in the sight of God speak we in Christ.”
We must preach with sincerity and authority, not for profit.
Even Simon the sorcerer wanted to you know as the apostles were doing all these these signs and wonders. He actually gets saved and started following the apostles.
He requested for the price gift and the power to do those things they were doing.
An apostle replies him, “Listen Your money will perish with you.”
You can’t buy the gift of the Holy Ghost, you receive the gift by humility and by faith. Then as you and preach do what God has called you to do according to the word.
Read the word so that you can understand what to do because that is where the power is met with the pavement, when you actually go and when you preach, then you can walk in the fullness of God.
You don’t don’t expect to walk in miracles and signs and wonders and do all the things that god has had for you if you’re not preaching the gospel.
The anointing is for the unbelievers, it’s to break the yoke. It to get the people who are oppressed out of it. It to get the people that are in poverty out of poverty.
As you go and as you preach and as you do those things, the Holy Spirit power will meet you. These signs will follow you and that is that’s the simplicity of the gospel.
As we go, the understanding of accepting the Lord openly, declare with your mouth that God is, that you believe Jesus is raised from the dead, believe in your heart and then you’re saved. That is when you get saved.
Let’s see John 6:35. This is Jesus and he’s going to explain himself through the word here and exactly what his purpose is.
John 6:35;
“And Jesus said unto them, I am the bread of life: he that cometh to me shall never hunger; and he that believeth on me shall never thirst.”
That is a promise and hope for some people.
John 6:36-38;
“But I said unto you, That ye also have seen me, and believe not.
[37] All that the Father giveth me shall come to me; and him that cometh to me I will in no wise cast out.
[38] For I came down from heaven, not to do mine own will, but the will of him that sent me.”
Understand we are to do the will of God who sent us. Not our own will but the will of God.
How do we understand the will of God? Well, let’s find out.
John 6:37-40 ;
“All that the Father giveth me shall come to me; and him that cometh to me I will in no wise cast out.
[38] For I came down from heaven, not to do mine own will, but the will of him that sent me.
[39] And this is the Father’s will which hath sent me, that of all which he hath given me I should lose nothing, but should raise it up again at the last day.
[40] And this is the will of him that sent me, that every one which seeth the Son, and believeth on him, may have everlasting life: and I will raise him up at the last day.”
That is a hope, that is a promise, that is a gift that you can preach and you can give to somebody as they confess that they receive Lord.
John 6:41-42 ;
“The Jews then murmured at him, because he said, I am the bread which came down from heaven.
[42] And they said, Is not this Jesus, the son of Joseph, whose father and mother we know? how is it then that he saith, I came down from heaven?”
They were again talking about — the psalm, we the aroma of death because they’re not being saved.
The bible says that God opens the eyes of the blind, he heals us, he can lead us and and Jesus draws the men.
But to some we the aroma of death, so these people were actually dying in their sin because of their pride, arrogance and their unrepentant heart.
So nowthey start to dishonor him and this will happen. This can happen in every believer’s life as you do what God says.
John 6:42-56 KJV
“And they said, Is not this Jesus, the son of Joseph, whose father and mother we know? how is it then that he saith, I came down from heaven?
[43] Jesus therefore answered and said unto them, Murmur not among yourselves.
[44] No man can come to me, except the Father which hath sent me draw him: and I will raise him up at the last day.
[45] It is written in the prophets, And they shall be all taught of God. Every man therefore that hath heard, and hath learned of the Father, cometh unto me.
[46] Not that any man hath seen the Father, save he which is of God, he hath seen the Father.
[47] Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me hath everlasting life.
[48] I am that bread of life. [49] Your fathers did eat manna in the wilderness, and are dead.
[50] This is the bread which cometh down from heaven, that a man may eat thereof, and not die.
[51] I am the living bread which came down from heaven: if any man eat of this bread, he shall live for ever: and the bread that I will give is my flesh, which I will give for the life of the world.
[52] The Jews therefore strove among themselves, saying, How can this man give us his flesh to eat?
[53] Then Jesus said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Except ye eat the flesh of the Son of man, and drink his blood, ye have no life in you.
[54] Whoso eateth my flesh, and drinketh my blood, hath eternal life; and I will raise him up at the last day.
[55] For my flesh is meat indeed, and my blood is drink indeed. [56] He that eateth my flesh, and drinketh my blood, dwelleth in me, and I in him.”
Here, he is talking about communion.
So understanding the spiritual aspect here of saying “I received Jesus, i’m coming to Jesus, I’m following jesus.”
That is our call and our mission to get others to come to Jesus, to walk according to the ways that Jesus has.
To consume the word, to meditate on the word day and night, that person will be prosperous and blessed. He will be like a tree planted by streams of water water and it’s leaves does not wither.
These are all promises that we get and that we can share with the unbeliever as we go and as we preach with signs accompanying.
As you go and share who God is and what his plan is through the word — understanding you know the plan of God when you know his word — then you’re activated and ignited to walk into your full calling.
I want to pray with you and it is very simple.
I’m just going to pray that you’d be blessed and that as you go throughout your ministry, as you go and evangelize, and as you walk and grow in the lord, that you will be effective and that you’ll be fruitful.
So let us pray.
Father, i thank you lord for every believer.
Lord, I thank you for every individual that has read and understood series, that you anoint them, that you bless them, that you continue to grow them in your stature and in your wisdom.
Lord that they would have your commandments forever on their heart.
Lord that you would teach them your word, that your word is like honey and sweet to the soul.
I thank you holy spirit that you will give them a holy tenacity to walk according to the law of the Lord, that your law is to accept your son Jesus and the sacrifice that he laid on calvary’s cross for us.
I thank you for that sacrifice Father.
I thank you that every believer would walk steadfast in honesty and in truth, not having a lying tongue or a deceptive spirit or a deceptive heart but that would they would be completely and wholly used in your gifts, for your miraculous signs and your wonders.
That Holy Spirit, you would use the believers here, that they would be anointed with power on high to do the work of an evangelist, to lead the lost, to who you are.
Give them holy revelation, give them training and understanding of how to grow and go in who you are and we will give you all the praise for it in Jesus name. Amen.
