Hello this is Malachi.

We’re going to be continuing to expound on the book of first Peter.

We are in chapter one from the last post, we left off on verse 13.

1 Peter 1:13-16;

“Wherefore gird up the loins of your mind, be sober, and hope to the end for the grace that is to be brought unto you at the revelation of Jesus Christ;

[14] As obedient children, not fashioning yourselves according to the former lusts in your ignorance:

[15] But as he which hath called you is holy, so be ye holy in all manner of conversation;

[16] Because it is written, Be ye holy; for I am holy.”

Let’s go to Matthew 5, right down to verse 3, get you know expanded o this.

Jesus was speaking here and if says;

“Blessed are the poor in spirit: for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.

[4] Blessed are they that mourn: for they shall be comforted.

[5] Blessed are the meek: for they shall inherit the earth.

[6] Blessed are they which do hunger and thirst after righteousness: for they shall be filled.”

That’s probably one of my favorite because it says “blessed are you if you hunger and thirst for righteousness because you’ll be satisfied.”

If you want more hunger ask God and he will give you more hunger.

Matthew 5:7-8;

“Blessed are the merciful: for they shall obtain mercy.

[8] Blessed are the pure in heart: for they shall see God.”

This is what I wanted to touch on here because it clearly explains what we saw in 1 Peter 1:13; “You shall be holy, for I am holy.”

Which also expounds on Matthew 5:8; “Blessed are the pure in heart for they shall see God.”

We have to be holy for he is holy but how do you be holy?

The gospel is simple, it all wraps back around to trusting God saying “Lord make me holy by your blood”

It is for you.

Jesus laid himself down. He came to died for our sins — He who had no sin became sin for us that we might become the righteousness of God.

That is how we become holy. It is not anything that we can do. There is no special bullet.

It is just understanding that “God I need help, I need you, I need your saving grace to lead me and tguide me so I can be holy because I know your word says Blessed are the pure in heart.”

How do you become pure in heart? You walk according to God’s law (according to his ways).

And how do you walk according to his law in his way.

What is his way? It is to believe in him, the one that God sent to believe in the death and the resurrection of the Lord.

It sounds very elementary because it is not meant to be complicated. It is meant to understand that people need the truth.

We need to understand that the Lord loves us and the gospel is very easy and simple. There is no need for any type of crazy things to told or  try to make you do this crazy things.

You know the bible says that God catches the the wise and their craftiness of their foolishness .

The wise people will try to make it confusing and complicated and they will give themselves in a snare by doing so.

But, we just have to understand to keep it simple, to love God, to say “Lord help me to to love you, help me to walk according to your law, help me to be righteous for your righteous by your grace.”

When we do that, we understand that God’s goodness and kindness leads us to repentance.

That way, we don’t get stuck in sin, we don’t get stuck in foolish arguments with other people.

Yes, we understand that there are different aspects and different things that we can move into with what God has for us but we have keep it simple not make it complicated because God is not the author of confusion.

Matthew 5:9-12 KJV

Blessed are the peacemakers: for they shall be called the children of God.

[10] Blessed are they which are persecuted for righteousness’ sake: for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.

[11] Blessed are ye, when men shall revile you, and persecute you , and shall say all manner of evil against you falsely, for my sake.

[12] Rejoice, and be exceeding glad: for great is your reward in heaven: for so persecuted they the prophets which were before you.”

Let’s bring back it to first Peter 1: 17;

“And if ye call on the Father, who without respect of persons judgeth according to every man’s work, pass the time of your sojourning here in fear:

[18] Forasmuch as ye know that ye were not redeemed with corruptible things, as silver and gold, from your vain conversation received by tradition from your fathers;

[19] But with the precious blood of Christ, as of a lamb without blemish and without spot:

[20] Who verily was foreordained before the foundation of the world, but was manifest in these last times for you,

[21] Who by him do believe in God, that raised him up from the dead, and gave him glory; that your faith and hope might be in God.”

Let’s go right to Hebrews 1.

Hebrews 1:1-6;

God, who at sundry times and in divers manners spake in time past unto the fathers by the prophets,

[2] Hath in these last days spoken unto us by his Son, whom he hath appointed heir of all things, by whom also he made the worlds;

[3] Who being the brightness of his glory, and the express image of his person, and upholding all things by the word of his power, when he had by himself purged our sins, sat down on the right hand of the Majesty on high;

[4] Being made so much better than the angels, as he hath by inheritance obtained a more excellent name than they.

[5] For unto which of the angels said he at any time, Thou art my Son, this day have I begotten thee? And again, I will be to him a Father, and he shall be to me a Son?

[6] And again, when he bringeth in the firstbegotten into the world, he saith, And let all the angels of God worship him.

Here, Hebrews is starting to get into understanding that God the father, sent Jesus to magnify himself, to make him equal on earth, to manifest himself and say;

“Hey listen, this is Jesus, he is the exact imprint and has the exact nature in him.”

He had the fullness of God in him yet he took on the form of a servant not thinking himself equal

That is something to be grasped and I’m going  expound on that.

Philippians 2:5;

“Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus”

Now, understand this is Jesus, the one who came to earth. He had the full embodiment of God (the same nature).  Then verse 6 to 7 says;

“Who, being in the form of God, thought it not robbery to be equal with God:

[7] But made himself of no reputation, and took upon him the form of a servant, and was made in the likeness of men:”

So even when the devil was tempting Jesus, there was ways where he could have called the legions of angels to come and him.

However, he rebuked the devil and the enemy with the word of God because even though heaven and earth pass away, the the word remains forever. He used the word of God.

He was explaining;

If you want to walk according to the authority of the Lord, you want to walk in power and anointing, have a blessed life, not wrestling with sin and falling into temptation.

He was humbling himself as a servant and didn’t consider equality with God as something to be used as to his advantage.

So even though he was God manifest, he didn’t come out on his high horse and say “I’m God manifest, I’m the best thing since sliced bread.”

He didn’t want to do that. He was explaining the law of the kingdom of God; To walk in power and authority in the kingdom is to walk in humility, submitted to the Father’s will.

Jesus continually said “everything I do, I only do because I see the father do it.”

If you have a tenacity or you have a desire to be used to minister, or to have a miracle ministry and to see miracles happen like they did in times of the bible. Well, you can do that if the father and Jesus shows you.

But how will you understand and how will you be shown if you’re not spending time in the word.

You have to say “Yes to the Lord” and always have this tenacity and fire and understand that it is only the Lord that can lead you.

Let’s continue reading Philippians 2.

Philippians 2:7-11;

“But made himself of no reputation, and took upon him the form of a servant, and was made in the likeness of men:

[8] And being found in fashion as a man, he humbled himself, and became obedient unto death, even the death of the cross.

[9] Wherefore God also hath highly exalted him, and given him a name which is above every name:

[10] That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth;

[11] And that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.”

I am really encourage you to get in the book of Hebrews because it explains more of the kingship of Jesus, who he was and how he maneuvered.

It takes it out of context. If you get into like the gospel of John, you can see Jesus on earth but when you really get into hebrews, it touches on the spiritual aspect of who he is and the authority he carried as he walked on the earth as God himself.

Let us go first Peter chapter one, from verse 19.

“But with the precious blood of Christ, as of a lamb without blemish and without spot:

[20] Who verily was foreordained before the foundation of the world, but was manifest in these last times for you,

[21] Who by him do believe in God, that raised him up from the dead, and gave him glory; that your faith and hope might be in God.”

Hebrews 1 will expound more on that.

1 Peter 1:22;

“Seeing ye have purified your souls in obeying the truth through the Spirit unto unfeigned love of the brethren, see that ye love one another with a pure heart fervently.”

What is the truth? It is that God so loved the world that he sent his one and only begotten son, that whosoever should believe in him would not perish but would have eternal life.

Even the disciples asked what the work of God is and Jesus said “to believe in the one that was sent.”

Speaking of Jesus, the work of God is to believe in the one he has sent.(John 6:29).

1 Peter 1:22-25 KJV

“Seeing ye have purified your souls in obeying the truth through the Spirit unto unfeigned love of the brethren, see that ye love one another with a pure heart fervently:

[23] Being born again, not of corruptible seed, but of incorruptible, by the word of God, which liveth and abideth for ever.

[24] For all flesh is as grass, and all the glory of man as the flower of grass. The grass withereth, and the flower thereof falleth away:

[25] But the word of the Lord endureth for ever. And this is the word which by the gospel is preached unto you.”

The bible is very simple but it’s so rich when you spend time with it.

As you read the word for yourself and dig in, ask the Lord to lead and guide you. He’ll expound things you and give you revelations so you can be effective in your business, your work environment, your life, and whatever you are doing.

He will be able to make you effective because you have the ultimate truth of his word and that is what sets us free.

It is understanding who Jesus is, receiving him and then moving forward with what he has for us and bringing the same thing to somebody else.

When you bring that freedom to other people, God watches over his word to perform it. As we go and we act, God will move and perform because he watches over his word.

That is it for today, we will do more in the next post. Thanks for reading.
